In the past lies the key to the future – this is the most important message, building our national pride and identity, of the main exhibition of the National Museum of Technology entitled “The contribution of Poles to the world’s technical and scientific heritage”.

We also invite you to thematic exhibitions devoted to: the history of computers, the history of transport, the history of fossil fuels. NMT is the largest institution of technical museology in Poland. It has over 15,000 exhibits in its collection. The collection consists of exhibits from many fields: astronomy and physics, mining and metallurgy, computer science, radio engineering, transport and energy. Among them are unique objects: Abraham Staffel's accounting machine, Enigma encryption machine, Lilienthal's glider from 1894, a representative collection of Polish two-wheelers with pre-war "Sokół" motorcycles, computers of Eng. Jacek Karpiński AKAT-1 and K-202. Quiet and spacious museum interiors create a perfect atmosphere for rest and relaxation, and the scenographically sophisticated exhibitions arouse curiosity.
